Streets of Rage 2 - Max Gameplay On Hard Difficulty

After beating SoR 3 four times in a row I felt I needed a break... from it. Not from the genre. But I felt greedy and, frankly, a little too overconfident. So I went back to SoR 2 with Max, but ramping up the difficulty to Hard. Honestly, it was a lot better than I anticipated. I actually managed to beat the game on the first attempt, although with only a couple of lives left and using all of my continues in the process beginning at round 7. I just don't have what it takes to go solo and do it continue-free. Maybe with some better strategies, or more time playing, one day I get it done. But what do we say to the god of (no) death? "Not today".
