After 18 years excelling in administrative operations, project leadership, and healthcare system optimization, I pivoted into software development — driven by the desire to create better tools and more efficient processes through technology.
What do I know?
Self-taught in PHP with the helping hand of our friend at ClassicGames and MySQL, I built my first applications to solve real-world operational bottlenecks. Today, I continue expanding my skills in PHP, MySQL, React, Node.js, Python, and modern technologies after completing a Software Development program at SAIT (Canada) with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
What did you do before?
I've worked with healthcare in a major public hospital in São Paulo, Brazil. There I led several projects and programs, including my first adventures in the Software Development field - even though I knew little to nothing about it. Acting both as client and full-stack developer, I was building the tools I needed to manage the departments and services I was in charge of, as well as providing the board of Directors with accurate, analytical data.
Can you tell a bit more about that work?
Due to confidentiality agreements, personal data protection and other civilian laws, I can't disclose too much, but I can share a few general details of what I did for some of the projects:
COVID-19 Data Analysis and Reporting
- Synthesized COVID-19 patient data across ER, ICU, and inpatient units, producing strategic dashboards and detailed visual reports, having rudimentary access to the hospital database via exported Excel sheets, developing an application to automate their retrieval, data splicing and ultimately data export to Google Sheets / Google Presentation via Google App Scripts
- Delivered critical insights that informed hospital response strategies during peak pandemic operations.
- Analyzed and visualized COVID-19 patient data for hospital leadership during the pandemic.
- Delivered actionable insights used in strategic decision-making during healthcare crises.
Exams Waiting List System Development
- Developed a PHP-based web application to modernize the exams waiting list workflow and optimize non-urgent exam bookings.
- Transitioned spreadsheets into a fully trackable system, improving booking efficiency and transparency.
Lines of Care Program Support
- Spearheaded the pilot program for Lines of Care (clinical care pathways), collaborating with department heads.
- Designed process flowcharts and developed performance tracking tools for program implementation using Excel sheets.

I would like to think of me as someone transitioning from a management, administrative background to a Software Developer.
