*TICKER - THE HOCKENHEIM MOTOR-JOURNAL: LISTER STORM BLOWS ROOF OFF GERMANY!*
UNBELIEVABLE! SPECTACULAR! HISTORIC! Lister Racing is over the moon, over the stars, and over the Motodrom! Andrea Piccini has completely obliterated the GT1 field at the 4.56-kilometer Hockenheimring in our magnificent #15 Lister Storm! Seventeen laps of pure, screaming dominance! Piccini set a blistering fastest lap of 1:35.752, taking the checkered flag in 27:56.158 and leaving seven-time champion Michael Schumacher a staggering 20.4 seconds behind in second place!
TWENTY SECONDS! Schumacher’s Ferrari 550 Maranello was practically in another time zone! Webb Hunt took third in his Lamborghini, while Martin Truex Jr. and Joe Nemechek led the rest of the pack further down. Even Dave in his #49 Maserati MC12 was left trailing in sixth place, over 49 seconds off our pace!
And what happened to Fernando Horta? Whispers around the paddock suggest his Konrad Motorsport Saleen S7-R rolled to a silent halt on lap 4, allegedly pulling over out of sheer respect for Piccini’s masterclass! Or perhaps the Saleen's engine simply gave up trying to chase a hurricane!
The Radaxian People (Telemetry Unit): Beep beep.
